After successful series of trainings training for girls and women through the #SUSSLGProject model, we have received support from Center for Information Technology and Development and MacArthur Foundation to scale the project to reach more communities.
With this support, we have just kick-started the training of 30 girls and women in Kumbotso Local Government of Kano State, with skill hand sanitizer and face masks production.
Our goal with the #SUSSLGProject is to reduce the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on vulnerable girls and poor households in Kano state by providing with income generating skills, market access while creating awareness among community stakeholders to end harmful traditional practices, which hve skyrocketed due to the pandemic.
Our target is to equip 2,000 girls and women with skill and reach as many community members through awareness creation and sensitization.
